Practicing Pranayama: Calm the Mind-Body Through the Breath

Learning to control the breath is vital to learning how to control and quiet the mind & body, and preparing yourself for peaceful meditation! Did you know that 1 of the 8 limbs of Yoga, "Pranayama," is dedicated solely to breathwork? If you want to incorporate my breathwork into your practice, here's two techniques for Nadi Shodhana Pranayama, or Alternate Nostril Purification Breathing. Practice this for 3-5 rounds of breath. You can easily work up to a 10-minute breathing practice.
